Retrofit beats rip-and-replace

Much of this value comes from adding sensors/controllers to existing infrastructure rather than replacing it — a low-cost node on each lamp or shelf is often enough.

At hundreds–thousands of nodes, device management, security, and power/connectivity dominate the design — plan provisioning, updates (OTA) and monitoring from day one.
